Prepare your traffic

Open Payments. Choose a package and follow the checkout when purchases are available. Apply a promo code before continuing if you have one.Expected result: traffic is available in your dashboard. Payment confirmation and traffic activation are separate steps.
If you paid but traffic is still preparing, check the existing order before paying again. If it needs review, contact support.

Choose your connection

Open Residential proxies. Choose Country, or Any country when location does not matter. Select Rotate every request for this first test.Open Advanced settings and set Protocol to HTTP / HTTPS, unless your tool specifically needs SOCKS5. Click Generate connection.Expected result: the output says Ready to connect with your generated connection. If you still see Example only, check traffic activation in Payments. Get help.

Copy what your tool needs

Open Connection details for Host, Port, Username and Password. Reveal credentials makes the password visible. Use Copy connection if your tool expects a complete proxy URL.For an example, open Code examples and choose your tool’s tab. Check its destination before running it: it may use the website you entered during onboarding.Expected result: your tool has either all four connection fields or the complete connection URL. Use the generated proxy credentials, not your account sign-in details. Ask about your tool.
Copied URLs and examples contain credentials. Keep them out of shared screenshots, logs and source repositories.

Test your setup

Click Test connection in the dashboard. A successful result starts with Connected and may show an exit IP. This checks ProxyLane’s connection to a fixed diagnostic endpoint.Next, test from your own tool. Compare a request to the diagnostic endpoint with and without the proxy, then test the website you actually need.Expected result: your tool uses the configured proxy and returns a useful response from your intended destination. The dashboard check alone cannot prove either. If a step fails, troubleshoot it or email support.
