Connect one browser profile to ProxyLane and check its internet protocol (IP) address.

Before starting

In the ProxyLane dashboard, open Advanced options and set Protocol to SOCKS5. Select Keep the same IP for a browsing session, then generate a new connection and copy its values. A sticky session can still change address if its connection becomes unavailable.

SOCKS5 is the proxy protocol used in this guide. Select it in both ProxyLane and the browser app.

Connect Multilogin

Open the profile settings

In Profiles → Browser, create a profile or edit an existing one. Enter a name and open Proxy.

Add the connection

Choose Custom, then SOCKS5. In Proxy details, use this format:
Replace the placeholders, including the angle brackets, with the ProxyLane connection values. Keep the colons. Use the proxy password, not the account password.

Check and save

Keep the Multilogin desktop agent connected. Wait for the automatic proxy check to show “Proxy check passed”, then save the profile.

Open the profile

Launch the saved profile. Keep the desktop agent running while using the browser.

Check the result

  1. Open the IP check inside the new browser window.
  2. Open the same check in a regular browser on the same computer, with its proxy off.
  3. Compare the ip values. Different values confirm a different connection address. If they match, recheck the selected profile and its proxy settings.
  4. Open the intended website in the profile. An IP check alone does not prove that another website accepts the connection.

If the connection fails

If checking or launching is unavailable, confirm the desktop agent is connected before changing the proxy details. Confirm that traffic is available in ProxyLane. Connection troubleshooting covers the next checks. Official Multilogin setup instructions
