A proxy forwards your request to a website. The website receives the connection from the proxy’s exit IP. A residential proxy uses a residential internet connection for that exit.
You configure the proxy in the tool that sends the request. Simply opening the ProxyLane dashboard does not change your browser’s connection.

Read your connection details
Copy all four connection fields from the same generated result. The proxy username and password are the values shown under Ready to connect, not your account sign-in details.
Pick an IP mode
Use Rotate every request for independent requests. Use Keep the same IP to request a sticky session for related steps, such as navigating several pages in one browser workflow. Compare the modes before relying on a session for a longer task.
A successful connection does not guarantee that a website will accept every request. Check your own destination after the dashboard diagnostic succeeds.
