Connect one browser profile to ProxyLane and check its internet protocol (IP) address.

Before starting

In the ProxyLane dashboard, open Advanced options and set Protocol to SOCKS5. Select Keep the same IP for a browsing session, then generate a new connection and copy its values. A sticky session can still change address if its connection becomes unavailable.

SOCKS5 is the proxy protocol used in this guide. Select it in both ProxyLane and the browser app.

Connect Linken Sphere

Create a session

Turn off Quick if enabled, then click New Session. Enter a Session name.

Add the connection

In Connection, select SOCKS5. Enter the ProxyLane host, port, login, and password. Login means the proxy username. Use the proxy password, not the account password. Leave the IP-change link empty.

Check the proxy

Click Check proxy and geo. A successful check displays the proxy address and country.

Launch the session

Click Create and launch. Some versions abbreviate this as Create & Run.

Check the result

  1. Open the IP check inside the new browser window.
  2. Open the same check in a regular browser on the same computer, with its proxy off.
  3. Compare the ip values. Different values confirm a different connection address. If they match, recheck the selected profile and its proxy settings.
  4. Open the intended website in the profile. An IP check alone does not prove that another website accepts the connection.

If the connection fails

If the session uses the normal connection, check that Connection is SOCKS5 rather than Direct or Not Set. Confirm that traffic is available in ProxyLane. Connection troubleshooting covers the next checks. Official Linken Sphere setup instructions
