# Traffic and payments

> Buy the data your proxy will use.

**Traffic** is data sent through your proxy. It is measured in gigabytes, or **GB**.

## Buy traffic

1. Open [Payments](https://proxylane.dev/dashboard/billing).
2. Choose a package and check the **One-time total**. Apply your promo code here if you have one.
3. Follow the checkout instructions, including its currency and network.

Your dashboard shows how much traffic you have left.

    Open **Payment history** and check your order. Payment can arrive before traffic is ready. Wait while it is preparing; check the existing order before paying again.

    If the order needs review, [email support](mailto:hello@proxylane.dev) with the order number.

    Open the existing order using **Continue**, when available. Check its checkout status.
