# Reseller quickstart

> Buy traffic, create your first sub-account and hand the login to your client.

## 🖱️  In the panel

1. Open [Reseller panel](https://proxylane.dev/dashboard/reseller).
2. Click **Add funds** at the top to top up your USD balance. It is the same balance ISP proxies use.
3. Click **Buy traffic** on the **Traffic pool** card, pick an amount and confirm. The GB land in your pool.
4. Click **New sub-account**. Enter a name, your client ID if you have one, and the starting traffic.
5. The **Connect** window opens with the client's host, port, username and password. Copy them, or generate a ready list under **Proxy list**.

Need to change the limit later? Click **Traffic** on the client's row. To pause, rename or delete, use the **⋯** menu.

> [!NOTE]
>
> A brand-new login can take a few hours to work on every gateway. The row shows **Warming up** until then. Most logins come pre-warmed and work at once.

## 🤖  With your AI agent

Click **Set up API** on the panel. It creates a key and shows a setup with the key already filled in. Click **Copy with key** and paste it into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, or run it in a terminal:

```bash theme={null}
npx skills add ProxyLane/skills --skill proxylane-api
export PROXYLANE_API_KEY="plr_your_key"
```

Then ask in plain words: "Create a login for Acme with 5 GB" or "Who is running out of traffic?". The agent asks before it buys traffic or deletes a client.

## 💻  With the API

Use the key from **Set up API**, or create one for your own system under **API keys**. A key is shown once, so copy it right away.

**1. Check your account**

```bash theme={null}
curl https://proxylane.dev/api/v1/account \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer plr_your_key"
```

**2. Buy 50 GB for your pool**

```bash theme={null}
curl -X POST https://proxylane.dev/api/v1/traffic/purchase \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer plr_your_key" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: 9f1c2b7e-buy-50" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"gb": 50}'
```

**3. Create a client with 5 GB**

```bash theme={null}
curl -X POST https://proxylane.dev/api/v1/subaccounts \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer plr_your_key" \
  -H "Idempotency-Key: 4d2a-create-acme" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"name": "Acme", "external_id": "crm-1042", "traffic_gb": 5}'
```

The response has the sub-account `id` and its `login`.

**4. Get 10 proxies in the United States**

```bash theme={null}
curl -X POST https://proxylane.dev/api/v1/subaccounts/SUBACCOUNT_ID/proxies \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer plr_your_key" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"country": "US", "session_mode": "sticky", "count": 10, "format": "host_first"}'
```
