# Connect Incogniton

> Add your ProxyLane proxy to an Incogniton browser profile.

Install Incogniton and sign in. [Create a ProxyLane connection](/quickstart) with **HTTP / HTTPS** selected. Use **Keep the same IP** for a browsing session; [sticky sessions have limits](/rotating-and-sticky).

  <Step title="Open the proxy settings">
    Click **Create profile**, enter a name, then select **Create**. Open the profile’s **Proxy** tab.

  <Step title="Add your ProxyLane details">
    Choose **Custom proxy**, then **HTTP** as the connection type. Enter your ProxyLane host, port, username and password in the proxy fields. Use **Custom proxy** even with ProxyLane rotation; Incogniton’s **Rotating proxy** option expects a separate rotation API URL.

  <Step title="Check and launch">
    Click **Check**. After it succeeds, select **Save**, then **Launch** from the profile list.

    Inside that browser window, open [the IP check](https://api.ipify.org?format=json). Compare its `ip` with the same check in your regular browser on this computer, with its proxy off. Then try your intended website; the IP check alone does not prove that site works.
