# Connect Antik

> Set up a ProxyLane proxy in Antik and check the connection.

Use ProxyLane in one Antik browser profile.

Install and sign in to **Antik**. Then [create an HTTP proxy](/quickstart). Keep its [host, port, username, and password](/connection-settings) ready. For a browsing session, choose **Keep the same IP** under ProxyLane’s **Advanced options > IP rotation**.

## Set it up

1. Click **Create+** and give the profile a name.
2. Open the **Proxy** tab and select **New proxy**. Choose **HTTP**.
3. In **Proxy**, enter `HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD`. Replace each word with your ProxyLane value and keep the colons. Leave the IP-change URL empty.
4. Save the profile, then use its start button. Antik normally opens a checker page showing the connection’s IP and location.

## Check it works

Inside the new browser window, open [the IP check](https://api.ipify.org?format=json). You should see an `ip` value. Compare it with the same check in your regular browser on this computer, with its proxy off. Then open the website you actually need; an IP check alone does not prove that site works.

  If the profile opens without the expected proxy, reopen its **Proxy** tab and check that **New proxy** or your saved proxy is selected, rather than **No proxy**. [Follow the connection checks](/troubleshooting) or [ask support](/support). Never send your proxy password.
